We understand that, for many of us, typing essays is much easier! But as a part of the application, we do require a sample of your handwriting, When you visit, you will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire, which will suffice. Do you accept the Common Application?Yes. We accept the Boarding School Common Application Form in addition to our own application. You will need to submit the application fee ($40 Domestic, $75 International) along with the Common Application. Learning DifferencesWhile a small number of students admitted to The Putney School may consider themselves to have learning differences, we are committed to providing the same quality educational program to all our students. To that end, we do not modify the requirements of any course for a student. We do, however, permit a student to seek accommodations that enable him or her to meet the requirements of the course, within the regular structure of our school. The Putney School does not have a special learning center, nor does it employ learning specialists as staff. An approved list of private tutors familiar with The Putney School’s curriculum can be obtained through the Academic Dean’s office when students require more assistance than occasional extra help. Parents are financially responsible for services provided by outside tutors. Since it is The Putney School’s goal for all students to work independently, students requiring significant modification in a school program may be better served at another school. |
