Corelle '13 knows all about trying to feel comfortable at home in a foreign country. She and Rommie '13 spent time in South Korea visiting the Sanmaeul School in South Korea this year. So it's no surprise that Corelle invited two international students—Taka '13, and Moi' 14—plus her pal Rommie home for the 4.5-day February break last week. Most students (and faculty) spent the break catching up on sleep, laundry, and Netflix. But here's what Corelle's mom, Amy, says in a note to the director what our crew did with some of their time:
"Just wanted to thank you for sending us Rommie, Taka, and Moi for the February vacation! They were not only wonderful housemates for the week, they also graciously got up early to come to Provincetown Schools on Friday morning. They were interviewed by my AP English class and explored tankas, haikus, and odes with us. Later, they also visited the fifth and sixth grade students who decided to skip their lunch time book club to continue their discussion with these amazing kids. They were all wonderful representatives from Putney!"
