Harvest Festival Sunday October 7

The 77th annual Putney School Harvest Festival is on Sunday, October 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day kicks off with a 5K "Red Leaf Ramble" running race (registration at 8:30 in the Field House), followed by a mountain bike polo game at 9:45 on the soccer field. A silent auction featuring many Windham County goods and services will run from 10:00 to 3:30. The International Cafe, with foods cooked by students from around the world, is open 11:00 to 2:00. Games and races on the East Lawn (behind the Currier Center) commence at noon. At 12:45 there's a parade, followed by contra dancing on the East Lawn. Join us for an all-school sing, featuring the Putney Community Orchestra, in Calder Hall at 2:00. And all day long there are crafts booths, fresh produce, and community groups serving tasty grilled food and baked goods, plus enough freshly pressed apple cider to wash it all down. No charge for parking, admission, or, if you're a kid, all the bouncy house, bouncy slide, and bouncy obstacle course fun you can handle.
