Applicants who live overseas follow the same process as residents of the United States, with only a few differences. One additional application form (International Candidate Information Form) asks for information about English-language level, prior experience in English-language settings, and educational-consultant contacts. If visiting Putney's campus is not possible, we arrange the required interview via Skype or telephone. On-campus interviews can be scheduled anytime. Skype/telephone interviews are scheduled after the written portions of the application have been submitted.
If English is not your native language, a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or SLEP (Secondary Level English Placement) score is very helpful. Please include a score report with your application. TOEFL scores can be sent directly to Putney using school code 8079. Other standardized measures of English proficiency are also acceptable.
