Project Week Fall 2012 Photos

Project Week is the final piece of the fall and spring trimesters at The Putney School. Project Week serves in lieu of final exams as a means for students to delve deeper into what they've been studying. Rather than proving how many facts stuck, Project Week engenders the means of proving mastery in far more useful ways. The "week" is closer to ten days long. In that time two plays were finalized and performed, bioluminescent critters were spliced, robots were created, literature was plumbed for meaning, models were constructed, and imaginations were set free to discover if A plus B does in fact equal C, or if there's actually another possibility.

It's difficult to adequately describe the entirety of the phenomenon, but we can show you pictures. We've divided them into three categories: Process, Presentation, and Performance. We hope you get a sense of the enormity, intensity, joy, and discovery of this learning event. Enjoy:
