This Is Why Student Government Is Important

Ryan Kim '10 was one of two student trustees elected annually at The Putney School during his senior year. Student trustees sit on the board and have full voting rights. Yes, you read that correctly. And maybe because of that, or any number of other real leadership positions we have here—from deciding on curriculum changes to choosing the next class of incoming students—that some of our graduates get involved in making the world a better place as soon as they graduate. Read all about Ryan's efforts to establish business development funding in Middlebury, Vermont in his latest alma mater's publication, Middlebury Magazine, here: http://blogs.middlebury.edu/middmag/2012/03/01/job-creation/
