Calder Hall Dance Floor Fund
The Putney School Dance Program is thriving! There are 20 classes offered weekly; about 1/3 of the student body and six teachers are involved in dance; and the school presents two full-scale, numerous individual, and several community performances annually.
Until recently, dancers were performing on a stage floor constructed of wood directly on top of concrete, a disaster for dancers’ health and well-being. Over spring break, Putney had a Kiwi sprung floor installed on the stage in Calder Hall, similar to that in the Dance Studio. The cost of the new floor and related items is $42,200.
Putney is currently seeking gifts to fund this new floor.To date 21 donors have contributed $5,090.
