Michael S. Currier Center

The Michael S. Currier Center officially opened, with appropriate fanfare, in April, 2004. The Center provides rehearsal and performance space for music, dance and student drama, and an inviting venue for guest performers. Auditorium doors open out to the lawn for spring and summer concerts, and outdoor spaces offer possibilities for a sculpture garden, concert receptions, meditation and enjoyment.

The Putney School will reached its 70th year in 2005. Making these facilities a reality will be an auspicious beginning for Putney's future in the 21st Century.

  • Twice the energy efficiency of a similarly sized structure that complies with the 2001 Vermont Guidelines for Energy Efficient Commercial Construction.
  • Wall panels describing the building's "green" features, making the interior space itself a teaching tool.
