Michael S. Currier Center Construction Update

All of the finish work in the new building is underway. Light fixtures, paints, doors, paneling, restroom, drinking fountains and mirrors are being or have been installed. The millwork--cubbies, lockers, benches, bookshelves and desks--are in the process of assembly and/or installation. The auditorium is nearly complete with the stage lighting and audio visual components being programmed this week. We expect to receive a conditional certificate of occupancy within a couple of weeks. After we get our CO, finish work and punch activity will continue as will the unpacking of furniture and equipment. Drapes and shades will arrive and be installed the 3rd week of March. The commissioning process will take some time but the building will be available for school use upon return from spring break.
