| History Teacher Erik Wilkens-McKee conducts The Putney School's first-ever assembly in the recently completed Michael S. Currier Center auditorium on Tuesday morning, March 30, 2004. After saying goodbye to 69 years of morning meetings in Barnes Assembly Hall with guest speakers, stories and songs, the assembly walked to its new home in the $7.2 million facility. The acoustically tuned auditorium is designed for music and dance performances and the turf-roofed building also houses music practice rooms, offices, a MIDI lab, video studio, dance studio and secure art gallery. Ribbon cutting and open house festivities for the public (all free of charge) begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2004. Call Natalie Harding at 802/387-7304 for auditorium booking information. | ||
