Michael S. Currier Center Construction Update

November 13th

Sorry for the lag. We had some network-related inconveniences to overcome. So let's get caught up. This lovely photo of the dance studio windows was captured during peak foliage by Capital Campaign Co-Chair Kate Ganz Belin '62. Thank you Kate! The other photos are of Business Manager Randy Smith, who captivated a tour of parents for two hours on Parent's Weekend recently. Here's what he had to say:

The building is nearly closed up! The hardwood floors have arrived and are ready to be installed. We will start with the stage, move down onto the auditorium floor and finish up in the dance studio. Acoustical plaster is being installed this week with the finish coat scheduled to be applied on Monday or Tuesday. Entry and exit concrete pads are being poured, some trees and bushes have been planted and the locking gallery doors are being hung. The cabinetry plans have been approved and we expect to begin placing these items within a couple of weeks. Tile has been put on in all the bathrooms along with the mirrors for each washroom. The building is really starting to come together and the inside is a beehive of electricians, sheetrockers, tilers, painters, plasterers and plumbers. We are looking to be open in early January. If you would like a tour or have any questions do not hesitate to stop by or give me a call at 802/387-6245.

Stay tuned for new photos and updates soon.
