As promised, here is the tallest wall unveiled. The final footings and frost walls are being poured this week--just in time for steel to arrive on the 30th. Good thing, since the mercury has all but disappeared from the thermometer this week. Frozen ground had to be jackhammered loose in a few locations to place the concrete forms. For the pour pictured here, those propane tanks fired two 100,000 BTU heaters that warmed the forms before the concrete arrived. Pretty soon we'll see steel forms secured to those bolts atop the frost walls.
