Notes on a page aren't music till they're played, till the mind and heart decode them and send them out into the world of listeners. Involvement in music—whether through participation in chorus, full-scale productions of musical and theatrical performances, instruction in early music or composition on MIDI electronic—is valued and encouraged at Putney. Everyone—trained or not—contributes to the all-school Sing. |
