Putney Students Earn Over $5000 for Kurn Hattin Homes

On Saturday, April 16, Putney students went out into the community to work for $8/hour to benefit the Kurn Hattin Homes in nearby Westminster, Vermont. Pictured here is Tom Fahner, Kurn Hattin’s director of educational and residential services, accepting a check for $5316 from Lyssa ’12, who is a Putney School Board of Trustees member and graduate of Kurn Hattin.

Last year Putney students earned $6500 for a Haiti relief fund. This year they wanted to do another benefit work day and solicited suggestions at a School Council meeting, where Lyssa made a pitch for Kurn Hattin and the students voted the idea into a plan.
