Boys’ Soccer vs. Vermont Academy
The varsity boys had their first home game of the 0809 soccer season today against Vermont Academy.
The day was sunny and cool, but the action was hot–particularly in the last 45 minutes of the game in which Putney went from a 2-0 advantage to a 3-2 deficit. A good rally with just minutes to go yielded two goals to take the win, 4-3. Good playing by both teams kept the crowd riveted to the action.
This year there is enough interest in boys’ soccer to field both JV and varsity teams. See the schedule here for the next games for both boys and girls teams.
