Maybe you’ve heard of Project Weeks, the periods twice a year in which Putney students design and carry out independent projects, chase connections across disciplines, and apply what they have learned. We challenge students to write a proposal, team up with a faculty mentor, and prepare a project that dives deeper into an aspect of their academic or creative work that has piqued their curiosity. Project Week is not only a chance for students to pursue their passions it’s also an opportunity for them to develop critical time and task management skills.
Early in December, you can check out Project Week for yourself. We are hosting a Project Week Open House when you’ll be able to see and explore projects while they’re being completed. After a tour of project sites, you’ll enjoy a terrific farm-to-table lunch, and then you’ll sit in at a discussion panel where you’ll learn about six specific projects. Students and their project faculty will discuss their work to date and answer your questions.
Project Week is one of the most creative, student-driven, and fun adventures students can have in high school. See what high school can be at Putney!
RSVP to let us know you’re planning to join us at the December 8th Project Week Open House from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
