Residential Coordinator
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide students with consistent caring support throughout the four week program
- Day-to-day administrative office support
- Creation of staff training presentations and documentation
- Creation and distribution of meeting agendas, schedules, and other notices
- Contact person for parents, guardians and family members of students
- Point person for the Maintenance team, Kitchen staff, and Health Office
- Early morning/late evening office coverage on a rotating schedule
- Maintain, implement and monitor student schedules, whereabouts and attendance
- Support healthy and positive student habits including timekeeping, sleeping, eating, hygiene, full program participation and socializing
- Form positive, professionally appropriate relationships with students to further enhance their summer experience
- Other duties as assigned
Work Hours and Benefits:
- Seasonal position from May 29th 2023 through August 4th 2023
- Evenings and weekends off in advance of staff and student arrival
- One 24-hour day off per week while program is in session
- Additional $250 stipend for returning staff
- Room and board (vegan & gluten free meal options available)

- Develop skills and gain experience working with teenagers aged 14-17

Our ideal Residential Coordinator candidate:
- At least 2 years experience in a fast-paced office environment
- Responsible, organized, reliable, punctual and flexible
- Calm under pressure with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google suite applications
- Valid driver’s license
- Experienced and interested in working with and supporting teenagers
- Has previous summer camp experience
- Enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Must be 21 years of age or above
- Must be eligible to work in the US for the duration of the program
Desired but not required:
- First Aid training
- Event management experience
- Photography skills
- Social Media / Digital Marketing experience
Things to expect at Putney Summer Arts:
- Long work days with changing schedules
- No smoking or vaping for the duration of the program
- No alcohol, drugs or illicit substances for the duration of the program
- No internet-ready devices (including smart watches) outside of your room/office
