Camp Operations Coordinator – Includes Room & Board
Get paid to work and live in beautiful Putney, Vermont this summer! The Putney School Summer Arts program is seeking applicants aged 21 and above to work with 120+ teens as they learn, make art & music, build lifelong friendships and explore their individuality in a safe and welcoming community.
Applications are now open for Operations Coordinator at The Putney School Summer Arts program 2023. To provide our students with a fully immersive experience, our Operations Coordinator will be required to live on-campus for the duration of the program and provide both administrative and residential support across 6 days per week while the program is in session.
- The role runs from May 29 through August 4 2023.
- Standard rate of pay for the program is $5200 (less any applicable taxes) + Room & Board and additional stipends for personal expenses/student chaperoning.
Operations Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the coordination and tracking of all student travel before, during and after the program
- Monitoring the suitability, availability and scheduling of school vehicles
- Managing the onboarding process for new drivers, scheduling and confirming availability
- Planning and coordinating all program activities and events e.g. offsite trips, afternoon physical activities, Sunday Funday Fair, Community Work Day, more
- Monitoring and managing equipment and supplies for events and activities
- Announcing and arranging sign-ups for all events and activities
- Coordinating and participating in the Putney Summer Arts outback trip
- Day-to-day administrative support including telephone coverage, email correspondence and other assistance to the Summer Programs office
- Serve as contact person for parents, guardians and family members of students as they arrange travel to and from Putney
- Working with Maintenance team regarding school vehicles, upkeep and availability
- Presence at community gatherings and assemblies
- Early morning/late evening office coverage on a rotating schedule
- Maintain, implement and monitor student schedules, whereabouts and attendance
- Support healthy and positive student habits including timekeeping, sleeping, eating, hygiene, full program participation and socializing
- Form positive, professionally appropriate relationships with students to further enhance their summer experience
Work Hours and Benefits:
- Pre-program coordination from May 29 2023 through June 30 2023
- Program runs from Saturday, July 1 through Friday, July 28 2023
- Post-program close-out from Monday, July 31 through Friday, August 4

Our ideal candidate will have some of the following:
- Experience in a fast-paced office environment
- Responsible, reliable, punctual and flexible
- Calm under pressure with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google suite applications
- Valid driver’s license
- Experienced and interested in working with and supporting teenagers
- Has previous summer camp experience
- Enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Must be 21 years of age or above
- Must be eligible to work in the US for the duration of the program
