Dear Putney Community,

I’m honored to be the recently elected Chair of the Putney School’s Board of Trustees. Although I didn’t have the opportunity to attend Putney, my very first visit to the hill made me a fervent believer in the school’s core beliefs and I have since seen firsthand – including in my children Olin ’20 and Phoebe ’23 – Putney’s power to transform young lives. For me, it is truly a special place.

These are challenging times for boarding schools, but I am confident that Putney can continue to thrive. Progressive education is more relevant and necessary than ever. We have exceptional faculty and staff, curious and engaged students, and a supportive community of families and alumni. In partnership with Danny O’Brien and the Board of Trustees, I am committed to doing my small part in stewarding this remarkable institution into the future.
