Charitable Work Day at The Putney School is our way of contributing to the greater community by donating our labor towards a good cause.
One day each spring, Putney students head off campus to work in the surrounding community for eight dollars an hour. Jobs may include gardening, dusting, moving furniture, cleaning out garages, or any other thing that needs doing. All of the money collected during the day goes to an organization or charity chosen by the school.
The 2019 Charitable Work Day will be held on May 11 and will support RAICES, a nonprofit organization with six locations in Texas that provides low-cost legal aid to immigrant children, families, and refugees.
