______
ARTS ARE A PART OF EVERYDAY LIFE AT PUTNEY
Students in visual art courses increase their awareness of the visual world, develop skills to creatively translate their ideas into visible form, and gain an understanding of the context and language of each discipline. Studio art courses further seek to support the controlled development of a student’s unique imagination and emotion into visible form, and to promote an intellectual understanding of the basic formal elements and technical processes of a discipline.
Our programs inspire adventurous modes of expression, provide professional instruction and context, and create a community of supportive artists.
